Volunteer

So you want to get more involved with a political party, the Ontario Libertarian Party? Why not!

Join the Party

First - join the party. Once you have joined, there are many other things you can do. Membership is $10 per year. You get a membership card, some party pins, and a whole lot of new friends. Do it! Don't wait! It's $10!

So now you are a member, and you want to get more involved. Fantastic! What can you do?

Be a Candidate

Most people want to be a candidate, at least once. It is fun. It isn't hard. You can do as little as the basic steps to get on the ballot, or you can do much more, like attend All Candidate Meetings, answer media interview requests, go door knocking, put up signs, do fund-raising, even for a campaign team. It's up to you!

Let us know that you want to be a candidate by indicating it when you join,
or by filling out the  >>Be A Candidate<< form.

These positions are limited to one per riding. There are 122 ridings. We need one person for every riding and at present, about half of these positions are tentatively filled. The final assignments will happen in 2018. If you are interested, put your name in for one of these positions, because there are always changes, such as people having to not run for any number of reasons, or we may need a person to fill a spot in another riding where we may not have a member volunteering.

Be a Regional Coordinator

Want to get a little more involved? Are you the type that likes to help others to get through things, and you do this by staying in the loop? That is what a Regional Coordinator does. A Regional Coordinator is usually a candidate, and may or may not have run before. They will be up to speed on the questions and answers that candidates may have that are going through the process usually for the first time.

A Regional Coordinator will help arrange social meetings such as >>Pub Nights<<, and / or other activities such as rallies.

A Regional Coordinator will help fit people in to ridings where we need a candidate by knowing which ridings have candidates and which ridings needa candidate. Having a candidate in every riding is our main objective for the anticipated 2018 General Election.

There really is no limit to how many Regional Coordinators we can have. In bigger areas and cities, it helps to have a coupkle or even a few people helping out. To become a Regional Coordinator,
just end us a note using the >>Contact Form<<, or contact Rob Brooks, Campaign Director.
