Press Release

In the Throne speech delivered today, while the McGuinty Liberals are acknowledging the global financial crisis, their actions are woefully inadequate as a means of averting the same fate. As if totally disconnected from the market turmoil in all of the Western democracies, the McGuinty government’s plan pretends that Ontario is immune to such problems. In Europe and in America, governments have grown to the point where they are outspending the productive abilities of their own citizenry.

That first minute was all-important, and this was the message: "Our proposals cost little or nothing, can be implemented quickly, can be added to any candidate's platform, and will give results immediately -results that can be measured."

During the 2011 Ontario Libertarian Party Convention, we were pleased to welcome Gerry Nicholls of Freedom Forum to speak to us about the 2011 Ontario General election.  Mr Nicholls gave an excellent break down of the strategies employed by the Progressive Conservative and Liberal parties, where they were and were not successful, and gave suggestions for how the Libertarian Party can position itself in future elections.
